We will reopen when it is deemed safe to gather in groups.
Until then, stay safe and drink wine!
You and your family, friends, or co-workers will enjoy a short but informative (and fun!) lesson that will give you some general information about wine, in particular the wines of your choosing for the event you are hosting.
After all the learning is done, the time will come that participants use their new information as they sample some great wines together and put to use their new learning.
After tasting the samples, participants can visit with other guests (maybe enjoy another glass!) and we do all the clean up.
What make s a wine taste sweet? Discover an array of sweet wines in the class that gives participants tastings of three different wines that will make perfect delightful treats!
Do all white wines taste the same? No way! Discover the different aromas and tasting notes of three white varietal wines and discover what makes them different.
Why do Chardonnays taste so different? Learn what makes Chardonnay wines unique from each other, and try three different brands to compare and discover your own personal taste in Chardonnays.
Are all sparkling wines "Champagne?" The answer to that is "no." However, there is a wide array of sparkling wines from many different areas of the world that we will discover together in this class.
White, Rose, or Red... which is the best? Well, they are all great, but try one of each and learn how each different wine is made and what makes them unique from each other.
Aren't all Rose' wines the same? No way, Rose'! In this class, we can learn about the different styles of rose' production and see which types of these wines appeal to you.
Red wine lovers unite! In this class, participants will learn about the more popular varietals of red wines and what makes them different from each other, and they will sample three of these to compare and contrast.
In an ode to one of our favorite places ever, participants will learn about the Napa Valley AVAs and try wines from three different areas in Napa.
Feeling adventurous? In this class, we will learn about three different grapes that are used in wine making that are not your every day, well-known varietals. Participants will get a chance to learn about some of the lesser known wine varietals and get to see what they think of their taste profile.
Proof positive that there are great wines to be found all over the world! Learn about three different wine growing regions and sample some of the best wines from around the globe!
It's Top Shelf time! This is quite special in that participants will learn about three coveted wines, the history of the wineries that created them, and the story behind the wines themselves. Participants will have the pleasure of trying all 3 of these delicious bottles!

Wine will also need to be purchased by the host. Varietals can be discussed at the time you book your event. If you currently own bottles you would like to incorporate into your event, that can certainly be arranged.

Hello, and thank you for visiting this web page! My name is Dr. Deborah Gleich-Bope, and I am the owner and operator of Bringing Napa Home. I earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2016 and I am currently working towards a Certified Specialist of Wine accreditation in 2020. This is a business born out of my love for learning and my enjoyment of the world of wine!
As a former school teacher and administrator, nothing could ease the stress of the job at the end of the day like a good glass of wine (and maybe a bubble bath!), and learning about and trying new wines became a fun hobby for me. During 2019, when I was having a particularly stressful year, my husband and I whisked ourselves off to Napa for a much needed vacation, and it was a life-changer! I fell in love with everything about it (the wine, the people, the scenery, the history), and I knew I had connected to something special. I began to read everything I could find to educate myself about the wine industry, took several online classes, and even got a part-time job in one of my favorite wine bars. Since I had ran a school for several years, I knew I could run my own business. I decided to combine my two loves, education and wine, and thus Bringing Napa Home was born! I look forward to sharing my passion for education and wine tasting with all of you! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or to book an event soon!
Bringing Napa Home offers in-home and on-premise wine classes and tastings for families, friends, and co-workers. Participants at the events will spend the first part of the class learning interesting information about the wines that will be offered at the tasting as well as general information about the wine world itself. At the end of the class, participants will use the information they have learned in order to better enjoy the selection of wine samples that will be offered. We are hoping to be able to provide online and in-person learning experiences and classes in the near future.
The vision of the company is to educate participants in a fun way, surrounded by family, friends, and co-workers, in order for them to enjoy their wines more and be able to have better conversations with other wine enthusiasts. Bringing Napa Home hopes to help participants in making more cost effective choices when selecting wines in a restaurant or purchasing a bottle for themselves based on the knowledge they gain from the events. We also want our participants to enjoy their tasting in a relaxed atmosphere while making great memories with other wine lovers!
